I can't handle Meyer's contract, not with an impending Cabral extension. Meyer gave me one great season, but as his ratings have dropped from 'awesome' to 'good' I just can't justify letting him eat up my limited funds.


In terms of the Big Picture, I traded Chas Spottswood for a 9th round draft pick. I'll file this one under "moves that did not work out."

Confirmed. Meyer is overpaid, but not to the point where he breaks a team's back.

Well, at least not yet. But taking him on for free certainly makes it a gamble worth taking.

The trade was completed on the 13th. Meyer should be on your players designated for assignment list.

The latest file I have has a game date of the 13th, and doesn't have the next two games in the divisional series. There are apparently no updated files on the server too.

ETA: So apparently Josh has the latest file. Is there anyone with the 10/13 file who is being told there's no updated file on the server?

ETA: I grabbed the file manually - not sure what happened, but it's fine now.

Confirmed. Abel isn't young, and his ratings aren't anything outstanding, but he's certainly preferable to the horrors that were my middle infield last season. He produces with the bat consistently, he plays defense, and he doesn't cost me too much to bring in. Thanks Buane.
