4-2 sim for Austin. Bustillos had a nice week and won player of the week in the JL. And on the 21st, Michel Martone of Philly hit for the cycle against us.

3-3 sim for Seibu. We remain 2 games up on Cleveland for the Wild Card spot thanks to 8 innings of shutout pitching from Larry Driscoll and Adrian Terry in each of the last two games of the week.

4-2 sim for Seibu extends our Wild Card lead to 5 games and drops our magic number for a playoff spot to 3.

The final game of our series against Cleveland was wild, as it was scoreless after 5 innings before they scored 2 in the 6th, we tied it in the 7th, they scored 3 in the top of the 8th, we scored 4 in the bottom of the 8th and they tied it with one in the top of the 9th. Luckily we pulled it out with a walkoff RBI double by Virgil Franks in the 12th.

2-4 sim for the Lone Stars as they limp to the finish line. Marcos Torres stuggled badly in his trial as the starting first baseman, but I'm going to leave him in there again this final week.

5-2 end to the season for Seibu gets us to 90 wins and a playoff berth. For once the rotation worked out perfectly and I'll be able to start my best starters immediately in the playoffs.

Adrian Terry ended the season tremendously with a no hitter in his final start against Atlanta, allowing only a single walk to Robert Foulds, who was the second batter he faced.

Well...that was ugly. Apart from Fugate, Gonzalez and Humphrey, this season was forgettable.

Congrats to the playoff-bound teams! You won't have the North Stars to kick around, so you're gonna have to play for real this time.
