Breaking News: Victory League Players Threaten Strike

Could the Victory League season be over?
AP, Atlanta

We just received word from the VL office here in downtown Atlanta that the leagues season could be in jeopardy. From what we have learned over 300 VL players have filed grievances with the VL players union. The players union has told commissioner and Atlanta Outkast owner Ryan Huff he has 72 hours to resolve the situation. That's all we know for now, more to come as the story develops.

Rumors fly around the Victory League strike.

Asbel Jimenez, Jennie Finch, and Shawn Levins are just some of the players saying they will go on strike. We have received no official response from the league but the players union told us that their players are upset with the ownership of the league and teams. They basically aren't happy because five owners have gone bankrupt and left their teams in control of the league, but in reality no one is controlling these teams. We understand that there has been talk of contraction by Mr. Huff but there's no finally word of it. Are the players afraid of loosing their jobs and not being able to find work? We still don't have any answers and proves that we are a crappy paper but we'll keep you posted on any updates.

Contraction may not be a bad idea after this season, however it may screw with the concentration of talent in the league.

I will personally suspend all BEES for the season that fail to report for work on Monday.

Well I had an idea/plan but since there's no interest I'll just forget it.

The league will be contracted and reorganized at seasons end.

I think you should hold off on contraction for the time being. Within a reasonable amount of tiem, I think we can get those holes filled. I also have some ideas to discuss with you, but I think they can wait until the FFL rolls over.

I just want the league to survive and right now I feel like it's on life support.
