What happens if you don't cut any players prior to the amateur draft? Do the players currently in Single A get eliminated and replaced with the new players?

It is funny you ask that question because last night I had this happen to me I did the draft and all of my single A players where gone, I don't know what happened to them so my advice would be to promote all of your Single A players to double A before the draft..anyone else have this happen to them?..this game has way to many bugs!!
It's not a bug, it is addressed in the manual. Before you start the new year you have to make a decision on all your single A players and either promote them or leave them on the single A roster. Then when you start the new year the Single A roster is cleaned out and they are replaced with all new players.
but i should add, that when the game asks you to manage your rookies at the end of the season, you can send as many of the players you want into any level. for example, you can send so many players from your A ball team to your AA team that they could have 30 position players and 25 pitchers on the team.
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea!?!?!!?
The College Draft should be in June like in real baseball then you wouldn't have to cut 25 players at the end of season and it would be intersting if we had the other Rookie Ball team and Single-A team
I agree and it should have 50 rounds just like the real thing and you should have 2 short-season teams so that you could place them on a team as soon as you draft them and last, but not least they should have at least 1, but preferably two more Single A teams so that you could hold more players!!!!!
(gasp) sorry just my $0.02

I like it just the way it is I actually wish the draft was only like ten rounds because usually after ten I hit the auto draft, I find its to time consuming managing my minor leaugues has anyone used the Auto Manage minor option, I am reluctant to give ita try in case the AI might release some of my best prospects. One more thing I wish there was an opion to list your ten best prospects I find myself combing my minor leauges for my best prospects anothe time consuming task!!!
The AI screws up your minor leagues. It moves some guys up to fast and others not fast enough. You can ruin some good prospects that way.
My suggestion, and I have given this suggestion since HH2000, is don't use the "auto-manage" feature. Like TC said, the AI will screw up some good prospect, and in turn screw you over!
I have used it to find that my #1 draft pick was released a month after the start of the season. He was 18 and I wanted him to be in Single A, the computer thought differently, after about two weeks and a 2.13(or something close to that) ERA, the AI decided he was ready for AAA, not a chance. He had an ERA over five and lost three games in two weeks there, so because he sucked at AAA the AI decided he was not good enough to hold on to, and cut him. After I went looking for him and couldn't find him, I checked the general news and found out he was cut, and get this another team picked him up. Well after a few minutes in control of both teams and bringing up the Season Options menu, I clicked the "Auto-Manage" off and it has been like that ever since.
