Re: help high heat 2004
This is a note I received from one of the developers last July. I hope this helps.
When you choose to play a game, and it asks you to sim out other games leading up to it:
- Choose yes. This will sim the other games for the previous day(s), have the players rest properly, then play the next game (if you so choose).
- Choose no only if you didn't actually mean to choose 'Play Game'.
Never choose "Sim Game" or "Play Game" for the final game of a given day of the season. If you do, players will not "rest" at the end of that day. This includes pitchers not "recovering" fatigue.
- Always choose to Play Game on a future day, and players will rest properly.
For example, in my season I am controlling Boston. I play my game for April 1, but do not sim or play and of the games for the other teams on that day. I then click to Play Game for April 2. HH asks me "Do you want to sim all games..." and I say Yes. The games for all the other teams on April 1 sim, then the players "rest" properly at the end of the day, then it takes me to the controller-select screen for my game.
Note that you do not actually have to play the game itself; you can back out from the controller-select screen to the schedule screen if you wish. Also, you can sim or play as many games on a given day as you wish before doing this and it will work properly as long as you do not sim or play the final game of a day.
- If you choose Sim to Playoffs, all will work fine. If you choose Sim Game, make sure to always do it on a "future day", as in the previous case.
