    EarCandy Manager Settings

I imported the manager slider settings from the download, but the numbers in DZ's editor are still all at zero. Is this correct or do I need to import manually?

Holy kimshee. Hours of testing and an import bug shows up now, after I've uploaded the file. Unbelievable. I love computers.

Bare with me, I'll have to find a fix and upload it again...

    Sorry!

My file had become corrupted somehow after the LAST time I saved it. Truly bizarre.

Sorry for any inconvenience. A working version has been uploaded, and should replace the corrupted version soon, thanks to the board's moderators. Thanks for the catch Mulder.

I used your manager settings last year, as the CPU was known to make some truly boneheaded decisions. However, the game seems to be a little smarter this year. I've seen intentional walks, timely pitching changes, even a suicide squeeze at the default settings. While it can still use alittle tweaking, the game does play much smarter than previous versions.

That said NTHStars, your work last year was great, and I'm sure this year will be no different. I'll try it out and see how I like it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Feedback on this will help. If you see too many suicide squeezes, for example, which I haven't yet.

The trickiest thing about the pitching changes was the balance between pinch hitting for a pitcher and just making a regular change. They really are the same thing operating from two sources in HH.

I tested it so if a pitcher gives up about 3-4 runs early, the computer will give him a chance to pitch further and rebound. But if he really stinks it up he's gone. Interestingly enough, highly ranked pitchers have a longer leash, which is how it should be.

I'm from the if-it-aint-broke-dont-fix-it crowd too bcruise, so if one of my changes shows up too much or intrudes on proper gameplay (despite testing), let me know...

    Thanks!

edit: Sharky, it probably won't be changed here until tomorrow. You can look around for it elsewhere though, hint, hint...

It appears a working version of the sliders has now been uploaded here. Thanks to Roadman or Gwynar for that.
