I have over 100 suggestions, so to keep it simple, I, like 3DO, have reconstructed my code from the ground up to present to you my suggestion (chuckle).

    1. Hire the people at 3DO responsible for the Gameplay.
    2. Hire the people at Heinsoft who make OOTP5 and are r
    responsible for the Statistical Interface.
    3. Hire the people at Acclaim who are responsible for the
    graphical detail.

You got them all now, right?

    Good.

Now form a new company, and let's give Baseball fans everything they could ever want, along with a User Group that gets to present to this company every year what they would like to see.

How about that for a clincher?!

    player tracking

I would like to see them have player pages that track personal perfomances. 'such as rookie of the year. Personal achievment pages would be cool.

I would also like to see an online play that supports online leagues between other people.

    3DO,

Please get in-game saves back into next year's version.

From my reading on this board I know this is an important feature to many people. With my home and work life it's a necessary feature to make playing a PC baseball game really fun AND give the game the replayability factor. At this point it's the deciding factor in my decision not to buy HH2K4.

I feel HH2K2 is the best PC baseball game I've ever played. I will look forward to buying HH2K5 for the PC.

I could be wrong, I have not played it in a week (busy with work), but I believe he PS2 has players come out (on occasion) for a curtain call. Maybe that made it into the pc as well. Plus, on replays (It happens on the actual play, I just only get to check it out on manual replays) of home runs, after the ball hits the stands (or disappears I should say) the fans stand and cheer for a second or two. I think they actually start to stand up as the ball sails towards the outfield wall. Now, this is all PS2, but I would assume it makes the pc too.

I love alot of these suggestions.......

I would love to see better crowd interaction.

    9th inning, 2 outs, 2 strikes.....

Closer Vs. Cleanup hitter, 1 run ballgame......

The crowd would be going CRAZY!! I would love to see that!!!

I would also like to see silly things like a player rounds third and trips over the bag. The percentage of this happening could be set in the TUNE file.

Also, make things like batter walkups edited in the player attribute, so you can add specific sounds files to each batter if you would like. Say you give every batter just a default generic couple second long walkup music file, and then allow us the user to add our own.

Also to add a "closer" entrance music if we would like. I would love the ability to have "wild thing" play if I wanted to bring in my closer who like to throw it JUST A BIT OUTSIDE when he first comes in :-)

yeah and add firworks going off for homeruns and wins.have the players "rounding"bases instead of the straight line.

better sound.is it to much to ask.stop repeating the same old crap.

i think if they had the layout of highheat from the past and have the engine they have now with better sounds this game would be legendary.

    STICKY SETTINGS

    STICKY SETTINGS

one of the most *annoying* things is having to change multiple game settings for EACH game.

especially in franchise or career mode, where you play over 162 times in a game year--with multiple game years--you need to admit it's understandable to be frustrated by this.

"lesser" sports games have no problem with this option. c'mon 3do, pick it up already.

Do you mean like rosters changing before a game starts and the human and CPU team controlling changing? That does annoy me as well. Great point!!

I would like 3DO to come out with an add-on pack devoted exclusively to old time baseball. Stadiums, unis, rosters. With the ability (in the PC version) to create your own unis and add player photos (hire DangerZ for God's sake).

Basically take the old "Oldtime Baseball" game and give it HH's gameplay and new graphics.

I would gladly pay $50 for this!

Or at the very least, give us the ability to create a uniform and a stadium builder. The stadium builder should be relatively easy to use and should include enough items so that virtually any former ballpark can be re-created.

I would like to be able to search for players that match certain criteria, like in the old HHs... I would also like to be able to veiw ALL the players when I select 'League Leaders', once again like in the old HHs. This alone will make me a happy camper.

i agree with anything posted above.
and did anyone else notice, that on a grounder along the foul lines, the umpires call fair or foul ball as soon as the ball touches the ground?? it shouldn´t be called before the ball reaches 1st or 3rd base!! i´m an umpire myself and i find it annoying.

Yikes, I didn't notice that. It's really an integral part of real-life baseball. That's why a fielder will immediately swat at a bunt that rolls foul. They want to touch it before it gets back fair again.

    Amen to Manage Only mode!

I grew up with Strat-O-Matic and APBA, and the best things about baseball on the PC for me is the elimination of the dice-rolling, chart reading, keeping stats by hand, etc., plus the visual presentation of being able to watch the game unfold. I enjoyed Baseball Mogul for a time, but haven't played it since I got HH2K1 because I didn't like the text-only presentation of the games. My ideal baseball sim would be something with a financial model similar to Baseball Mogul, but with a graphic prsentation of games instead of text.

Manage only is my preferred method of play. I like to do the GM/Manager stuff, but I don't like my teams success to depend on my abilities with the controls. In HH, I regularly beat the crap out of the opposition at Pro, but at higher levels I whiff too much (and I was a good baseball player) - maybe the answer to that is having the right tune file, but still playing games pitch-by-pitch is too time-consuming for me. I like the pace at which I can progress through seasons in Manage Only in One-Pitch mode, so I'd like to see this brought back.

At this point I'm not interested in picking up HH2K4 because of the absence of Manage only, but since my boys like to actually play games, I may pick it up later in the year when the price drops, or buy as used one.

Thanks to Pudge, I'm already into late July of a 2003 Season in HH2K3 with a revised edition of his end of 2002 roster set (I made roster cahnges through Mid-Feb. myself). I played the 2002 season with computer trading off, to give the players 2002 stats and to leave them with their 2003 teams. Still, there are no 2001 stats, so the careeer numbers are off, and it's not the real 2003 schedule.

But Pudge has saved the day again! His newest roster set has the actual 2001 and 2002 stats, plus the actual 2003 schedule. Thanks a million, Pudge! I'm going to start another 2003 season with 2K3 as soon as I undo the facepacks (because facepacks always result in my having players that look like they came from Impossible Creatures - like black heads on white bodies - and red lines on their faces) and add some player photos from HighHeat 2004.net.

Great ideas by everyone. One thing I didn't read anywhere is a more realistic custom schedule maker. Some times you get these 15-20 game homestands/roadtrips where you may have a 3-game series with a team at the start and then another 3-game series with the same team again during the same homestand or trip.

I would also like to be able to build a custom franchise with the ability to choose logos, colors, uniforms, stadiums, and do an expansion draft to stock my "franchise". This would probably be real hard to do, but it doesn't hurt to dream, right?

    Unhappy Not Too Impressed

I have been a huge High Heat fan for a few years now and have been wildly looking forward for the 2004 version. I am a big fan of the managing interface that 2003 came with and hoped that the combined elements of free agency would make the managing more realistic. Unfortunately, the entire interface has been changed and looks more like something made strictly for Console... Im very dissapointed by this latest installment. The actual game play is much better than the last version, but the entire menu interdface is terrible now. i purposely have all my games on PC because PC usually gives you more control and more ability to customize your team. This version has too many whistles and bells and just makes everything too cluttered and fancy to enjoy... I cant even use my mouse to navigate, I have to use the joystick and that is irritating as hell.

All this wait for what I so far deem an inferior product, I pray that OOTP5 can make up for it or if i can download an update for 2003 that allows for free agency and updated player rosters...

The only thing I care about in graphics is the stadiums. This afterall where you are nearly all the time They need 3D stadiums. What I mean is there should be physics for anything involved with the stadium. The flag should blow only when there is wind. The flag should blow in the correct direction. The stadium should have depth to it...not just be a picture that when a ball goes out it just dissapears. They need real time shadows so when the day advances (this is a must) that the shadows move across the field. Also they need to bring the damn moving clouds back!!!

You say franchise or career modes. Does that mean you cannot play in career mode with the franchise/financial mode also in effect?

The thing I would most like to see in HH2005 is records kept statistically. It just doesn't seem like real baseball when the announcer says he tied the record when the record has been broken.

I mean records like highest batting average, most homeruns, longest hitting streak, etc., that should be kept statistically somewhere to view. It would also be real nice if the announcers had this knowledge.

I also think in-game saves should be put back in the game along with mouse support.

Finally, from what I've read about the game overlay, I think that more competent people should be testing HH before it gets released.

    Cool

Maybe I'm just being an ass but how about suggesting 3do catch up with EA Sports and I don't know... maybe MOUSE support in the game ???
