    Question Which roster set...

OK, as we head into the 25th round, I think it is time to ask the question, which roster set. At this point it won't give anyone an edge. I think this is a good time because it will give us time to put the players on the correct teams so that we dont have to wait until the season is over.

We will post the rosters as soon as we know which roster so that there is no advantage to those without OOTP.

It would help a lot, as well, if once you vote, you at least say that you have voted. It would really help if you gave reasons why, but I understand and respect that not everyone is comfortable with that. But, please at least tell me that you have voted.

Gotta go with Bdog's rosters. We'll also ensure the financial accuracy

While agree that Bulldog's post-tradedeadline rosters are nice and very accurate after the trade-deadline...ALL of us have been drafting with the idea that we would be using GForce/Rolen rosters which only use stats from 99-01 and don't take into consideration any 02 info. Bulldog's set seems to improve players who were doing well in 02 at the trade-deadline.

THEREFORE, let's stick with our original intentions and go with 99-01 stats rosters, Rolen's rosters.

Actually, there was no original intention. We agreed that we would not decide until afterwards. But, you bring up valid points about why maybe not to use Bulldog's roster set. Thanks for the viewpoint.

Actually, there was no original intention.
OOOHHH!!! I thought our intentions were to use the GForce/Rolen roster set.

If that's not the case, then I would say either Rolen's or Bulldog's, cause I like Bulldog's accuracy.

The GForce/Rolen rosters are coming out on Sunday, and he said that they should be playable. I think by the time we finish the draft any bugs will have been corrected. Any reason why they were not included in the poll?

Do you want me to change your vote?

We were told that they were not coming out. In terms of a decision being made, once we were told they were not coming out, we decided to wait until after the draft to decide. So, the reason they were not included is that we were told they were not coming out. I would actually prefer to get a head start on putting people on the right teams.

But they are coming out, and we pretty much nullify our minor league systems if we use any other roster set.

How so? All of the roster sets have minor league rosters included. I think it is pretty scary to think this roster set has bugs, and then we start the season, and it messes up.

Yes, I'm much more comfortable sticking with a tried and true system.

Plus, with all due respect, both Knuck, Oct, and I don't have the kind of time it would take to test the new roster set and then set it up. Bdog's roster is accurate, and will serve our purposes perfectly.

the plan, assuming this last import truly is ok, is that Rolen will make any final double checks and adjustments by Thanksgiving, and I will try to get my final touchups in Friday and Saturday and early Sunday if need be, and then I'll send the set to BBSC and the other OOTP sites Sunday night.

Here's my problem. I drafted assuming I'd have a full minor league system. Rolen and Bdog's rosters only have about 10-15 players in the minors. Not to mention that I'd venture to guess there are quite a few players picked in this draft that are not included in either Rolen's or Bdog's rosters.

But we made it quite clear that we wouldn't be going with that roster set. I definitely thought that early on, but our plans changed. And you still have plenty of time left to select some minor leaguers.

We did not make it quite clear. You're ignoring the fact that we decided on this roster set to begin with. Just because we thought it wasn't going to come out, that makes our voices worth squat?

There are more than 15 players in the team's rosters for those sets. If people are drafted that are not there then I would assume they could be added. I think this is a risky proposition....but, hey, if KW wants to add it to the list, or start a new poll and add it, it's fine by me. I want to do what the majority wants.

I'm confused, as I was thinking that the GForce/Rolen rosters weren't coming out either. But anyways, I voted for Bulldog's set because I like their accuracy.

It was pretty clear the rosters were not coming out, so we decided to decide on a roster set afterwards. It does not make your voice worth squat, but it should not make all of the voices of the people who realized we would not be using that set worth squat either.

I'm not ignoring anything. I'm listening to what you're saying, but you have to listen to why we shouldn't use that roster set as well.
