    Tune file for Wicket's roster?

Just wondering what tune file everyone is using with wicket's roster? I think the rosters are great for accuracy through the minor's etc, but I seem to be finding the pitcher statistics are a litte too phenominal. I'm 5-8 or 6-8 and have been shut out 5 times already. Now admittedly I'm the tigers...So I would expect a certain amount of that.

With that in mind, it's not the biggest issue. The biggest issue is that there a TON and I mean a TON of pitchers with insanely low ERA's. All the stars we've come to know and love of course, but it seems a little too extreme. All with era's in the 0.XX's and 1.XX's!

I've been using Webgem's tune because it came with his rosters and wicket's rosters are based off of those so I figured they'd be about right.

What's everyone else been using? By the way, I've been playing on MVP because that's what it was set too. Perhaps I should be using the Tune I am, but on another level.

    Thanks for your time!

Quick update...I forgot a couple of things.

I don't seem to be getting many foul balls...although I get a few (say 2 or 3 foul ball outs, and 2 or 3 actual foul balls tops), and I only seem to walk 2-4 times a game. Is that about right?

Ok then...should I assume I won't get any help from anyone? If a moderator comes in here and finds this, please move it to the tune forum. That way I don't waste your space duplicating an honest mistake. I mean I obviously purposely avoided the tune forum because I didn't want any help.....oh wait.

I'll try and be more careful next time.

there's no need to get upset or anything. I wasn't putting you down, just pointing out a mistake. I don't use the roster set you are talking about so i can't help you.

from what i've seen athough a few of the roster sets are really awesome, they are geared towards pitching, but in the extreme way so that it seems a bit unrealistic. I just use the default roster set.

I'm sorry. Guess I misinterpreted. When I didn't get any help I figured that was a hint that it was solely because of my error.

And I'm usually so docile to! Sorry bout that

Anyone else using this roster? There has to be some...someone's been downloading it..hehe

Yep, that's the one I been using. As I said the pitcher #'s seem a touch too good, but I'll let it get farther in the season before I worry to much. Thanks for the verification.

    Stop the insanity!!!

So far these are the season results (my score first):

    3-2, 1-0, 0-4, 5-3, 1-8, 2-12, 8-4, 0-8, 1-6, 0-7, 1-2, 6-4, 0-6, 2-5, 0-6, 0-4.

I've been shut out 6 times now in 16 games...and only scored 1 run another 4 times! that's 4 runs in 10 games!!!!

I know the tigers suck but this is absurd...At least for run production. Very frustrating.

I lowered the CPU pitch control from .820 to .805 and the guy went out and threw a 2 hitter with 1 walk in the last game...

Also upped my batting from 2.7 hitting to 2.8 and power from 3.0 to 3.2. Obviously it didn't help.

Guess it's hard to argue with the results: 5-11 with the Tigers is about right. Just tough to swallow

just so you know, i also have heard of some of the same things you are talking about......a few of the users have e-mailed me in private asking me to help with the tune.........you are welcome to do the same...

don't worry about the misinterpretation......i usually try to help whenever i can, it's just that i use the default rosters because of the same problem you are having.

I love the work on all the rosters, and especially the complete ones that even include minor leaguers, but i've noticed that some of the roster interpretations seem a bit different than what i'd call the exact realism of the game of baseball today. Some of they are too pitcher orientated. If you would like to try my tune with it, then let me know. I'm working on a new one now. I don't know if it will help however.

I made the tune around to how I like to play...I like to see pitching duels between teams...This is how you fix it if you want to see some more hits between both teams and runs scored.

Go to CPU HITTING & POWER, HUMAN HITTING & POWER and adjust accordingly. Default tune comes with those set at 5.0 for all 4 categories, you can try raising it to 3.0 for each but remember to play on Hall of Fame level but I wouldnt go any higher then 3.0 if you want realism.
