April 1st:Opening day-New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles
Well, the Yankees showed very good effort as they defeated the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards in the first game of the season for both teams. In the first two innings, it looked to be all Yankees, as they scored seven runs. They had home runs in those two innings by Jorge Posada, Rondell White, and Alfonso Soriano. Jason Giambi went 1 for 3 with two walks, one RBI that came on a base hit on his Yankees debut. In the later innings, Baltimore showed outstanding effort with a big threat in the ninth inning. That threat ended when Jeff Conine flew out to Rondell White. Both these teams showed that they are ready for the season.
