Major Problems w/ CPU lineups
Hey guys. I hope I'm missing something, but I just did the Jordan-Sheffield trade and then started a season. The CPU didn't even have Chipper starting!! It had Castilla at 3rd, Sheff in LF and Martinez in RF. I even tried to move Chipper to RF, but it wouldn't take. Has this happened to anyone? What to do?
Thanks

After a trade of starters you need to manually change the lineups because there's a gap where Jordan used to be - you have to insert sheffield and then everything is fine i'd imagine - ihad no problems with it.

Really? So after the trade, I make the lineups, save it and then when a season begins it will be ok?
This is what I did... I made the trade, then saw that there was an empty slot. I didn't do anything about it figuring that the computer would sort out the lineup properly. I then started a season and found out that the lineup was as I said earlier.
I'm a little confused on how to do it...

Yeah you have to manually do it - or the computer is stupid and messes it all up. There's no global lineup switches too - everything must be done manually.

Ok Red, thanks.
So just so I have it right...I make all roster trades and lineup changes PRIOR to starting a season (do all manually). Then I save the rosters. When I start a season and the CPU asks what rosters I want to use...I choose custom. Then all will be ok?

this may sound stupid, but I did it myself, so i thought i'd mention it. Make sure you set all 4 of your lineups (vs righty, vs lefty, etc). i did righty on a couple of them, but forgot the other 3.
