Well? I think the 2001 version worked on most computers. There was the patch for this game which fixed things. I think the biggest problem with this years version is that it was buggy with certain computers/video cards, etc., crashing to the desktop, what have you. I know many people couldn't get this years version to work until they updated their video card drivers.
I have a real simple computer/video card and after updating my driver have had no problems that the patch and stuff from this site didn't fix.
If you have the game, go ahead. It's basically the same. It doesn't have the base coaches, arguments, mound visits, etc., but it's a good game.
