The Seibu Lions formally showed off their new uniforms for the 2009 season.

The slightly grey uniforms on the left-hand side with "Lions" written across the front are the visitor uniforms and the uniforms on the right-hand side with the letter "L" are the home uniforms.

A special uniform that will be worn during training and exhibition games was also unveiled. You can see those here.

And in other news...

The Orix Buffaloes came to terms with three of their foreign players:

1. Greg LaRocca - 1 year deal worth 27M yen (a drop from 110M)
2. Tuffy Rhodes - 1 year deal worth 320M yen
3. Alex Cabrera - 2 year deal worth 300M yen

There were also a few other press conferences held to introduce foreign players to the press.

• The Giants introduced Dicky Gonzalez.
• The Lions introduced John Wasdin.
• The Carp introduced Scott Dohmann.
• The Tigers introduced Kevin Mench.

The renovations being made to Koshien Kyujo are moving along and the park should be ready by March. The new slogan for the park, revealed earlier today, will be "Excitement & Enjoyment @ Koshien." A new logo will also be unveiled during re-opening ceremonies. For more information, you can check out the Koshien Kyujio "Renewal" website.
