Pay What You Want: The Humble Indie Bundle (Expired)

The Humble Indie Bundle

For the cost of lunch today, you could help the future of PC gaming. Indie developers are the last great hope to push PC gaming back to the forefront of computer entertainment. While most big name companies are interested in dumbing down games, developing awful ports or infesting their games with all kinds of ridiculous DRM schemes, the PC indie scene is the exact opposite. They deserve your hard earned money. I know Bit-Blot, the creators of Aquaria, are just two guys who decided to make a title which turned out to be a fantastic take on a side scrolling RPG gameplay style that can rival some big budget games.

The way it works is you simple: You pay what you want for 5 inide developer games. The games in this bundle include World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, Penumbra, and as a bonus, Samorost 2. World of Goo and Aquaria made my list of PC Games of the Decade. I would ask that anyone who is remotely interested in high quality and fun PC titles to purchase these games. They include no DRM and are available for Windows, Mac and Linux users.

UPDATE: The Humble Indie Bundle promotion has raised over 1 million dollars to the developers and various charities. Thanks to all who showed their support.
