I'm with Gen... No pic, no puppy

Man, congrats on the new addition. I love getting new puppies.

This reminds me.. I should post some updates (pics) in the thread I made of our puppy (great dane) a couple of months back. He is 5 months old now, and is bigger then our 3 year old lab.

You used to call it a 'Y-turn' (or perhaps out by where you live)?

When I got my DL they were calling it a 'K-turn.'

Yeah, that is part of the testing in Wisconsin. Also, part of the testing is what I used to call a Y turn or now called a three point turn. I had to look up how to do that.

The patience now is worrying about her on the road till she has her own insurance and own car.

I've never heard of staying that far behind the car in front at a stoplight. I remember the instructor telling us that we should be able to see the car's tires. Do they still require parallel parking on the test in Wisconsin? I don't think I had to do it here in Virginia, but that was quite awhile ago. I admire the patience you have to teach her to drive.

    Mike;

She's had her learner's permit since early this summer. She's terrible at parallel parking. I avoid that at all cost, so, I'm not that good at it either.

I take her to practice at an empty business parking lot near our house. Or, we just have her drive us around places. One of the issues that I have, her driving instructors told her to stay a carlength behind a car at a stop light or stop sign. No one does that, but she said she'll do it on the test.

My parents didn't allow me to get my license until I turned 21. Something about insurance premiums being too high for teenagers.

I didn't mind it all that much though -- my friends became my chauffeurs.

I never had to beg for driving time, my mother let me drive her around quite a bit even when I just had my learner's After I got my license, it was just 'mind if i borrow the car?' and that was about it.

How long has she had her learner's permit Terry? Where do you take her to practice at?

It's hard to believe how long it has been for me since I went through that stage. Good luck to you.

Just a quick update. We finally have our backyard back. It's a bit muddy back there, but it's good to have the lawn back.

    No thanks to Mimi.

A bb gun might work well, too.

Actually, I heard dogs are best. Ducks don't like loud noises. Even clapping your hands has the ducks disappear.

Hopefully that water evaporates before it starts getting warm. The last thing you want is a huge mosquito population being born from your pond.

It's been overcast here for a few days now with temperatures in the fifties. It looks like we're going to warm up by the end of the week though.

More rain can't be good for your situation though.

The last couple of days have actually felt like spring. It's been in the 60's , but today the temperature is suppose to drop to the 40's. I noticed rain in the forecast till Sunday.
