So I was watching the Sasuke competition on TV the other day and noticed that an American, Levi Meeuwenberg, had made it past the first round. I haven't followed the show for that long (it has a 10 year history) but I don't remember any Americans making it past the first round in the shows that I have seen.

For those that aren't familiar with Sasuke, perhaps you've heard of it as Ninja Warrior, the title for the program outside of Japan. If that still doesn't ring a bell...
