Don't know how many of you are keeping track of me through this blog, but for those that are, my grandmother passed away earlier today (10:40am) at the age of 102.

A little ticked at myself because I had a chance to go see her earlier this month but opted not to go because I had other things I "needed" to do.

It's the year of the Tiger in Japan.

Happy New Year!

Today is Valentine's Day in Japan.

Unlike the States where either couples exchange gifts or men do the giving, in Japan, it's the complete opposite.

And why not, there's a whole other day (March 14th) reserved for men to offer their "replies" to the chocolates they received.
