  1. Kansai Indepent League: Kobe to temporarily end player contracts at end of September

    According to Sanspo, it seems like Kobe will temporarily end all contracts with players at the end of September.

    There are a number of team events in October, along with the Championship tournament (forgot about that one), that may require the players to be under contract. Due to this reason, the club would like to sit down with the players and discuss what can be done in October.

  2. Kansai Independent League: More financial troubles for Kobe

    Looks like things are so bad at the Kobe 9 Cruise right now that players won't be getting a pay check in October. The team has said it will, however, pay for August and September salaries. And it sounds like the Akashi Red Soldiers and the Kishu Rangers are thinking about defaulting on October salaries as well.

  3. Kansai Independent League: Osaka to get some financial help

    Osaka announced on Monday that the league will be providing them with some financial relief after they announced that they were going to slash player salaries by 50%. The ball club has already cut salaries in half for all players earning 200,000yen per month.

    Osaka said that it will use the money they receive from the league to pay their players.

  4. Kansai Independent League: Pay Cuts Abound

    Of the four team in the Kansai Independent League, two will undergo fairly significant pay cuts, starting this month. Osaka players will be getting a 50% pay cut while Kishu players will be receiving a 30% cut in pay.
