12 years. Can you believe it?

12 years.

At this time last year, I wasn't sure how much longer this site would last. But with the support of some key members, we've managed to keep this site just barely above water (incidentally, it's never too late to show your support ).

I'm not quite sure what the future holds for this site. But as I've mentioned before, I'll do my part to try and keep this site up for as long as possible.

Speaking of ...

NPB coverage will be a little limited over the next few days as I focus my attention to the WBC. My regular posting schedule will return after the final game on Monday.

The summary for the latest episode of Major will also be delayed, probably until Monday or Tuesday. I might be able to squeeze it in after the game tomorrow, but I can't make any guarantees. All I can say for sure is that I will write it up by, at the latest, Tuesday.

So my passport recently expired and I figured now would be as good a time as any to get it renewed. And so I filled out the required renewal application form and set out to get my 2 passport photos taken. Incidentally, for those looking for passport application forms, you can find get all the information you need at the US Department of State website.

I initially searched around for what my options were. I knew I could go to a photo store to get them "professionally" taken. ...

So I was flipping through the channels and found Daisuke Matsuzaka taking part in a game of "Buchinuki Pitching" with the members of SMAP.

What is Buchinuki Pitching (ぶち抜きピッチング)?

It's a fairly simple game where players throw a baseball through as many styrofoam boards (in this particular case, a max of 25) as possible.
