The ULB is currently 3 sims away from the August 15th Trade deadline. Teams will have until Wednesday at 6PM to finalize trades.

This season has already seen some big trades occur, including Curt Schilling, Bobby Abreu, B.J. Wallace and Jim Thome heading to new teams. More so than in seasons past, the contenders and pretenders seem to already to sorted out. The two main races appear to be San Jose and Phoenix, Portland and Salt Lake City and to a lesser extent Brooklyn and Boston, ...

I remember when the Phillies aquired Cory Lidle a few years ago. I though he was a serviceable player, and that he brought a bit to the Phils. Unfortunately, while he was with us, the Phillies never made the playoffs, and as we all know, Lidle was traded to the Yankees at the trade deadline this year with Bobby Abreu.

He then proceeded to make a few comments about the Phillies that I didn't like.
